It’s only February, but the 2012 Operation Christmas Child planning is getting ready to begin. On Sunday, March 4th, please join us as we hold a brain-storming session to discuss ideas for the 2012 OCC effort. Have a great idea, hobby, or interest that you can use/share to provide content for boxes?? Bring it. Have an idea on how to raise more funds for our program?? Bring it. Our annual OCC Boxing Day is one of Knox’s biggest efforts, and we want your input as to how we can improve the program.
The meeting will take place immediately following the lunch/prayer time after church. Be sure to stay for lunch and join us as we kick off the 2012 season. If you have ideas but are unable to attend please get in touch with Sally.

Ladies, the men will be cooking so, come and enjoy an evening away from the kitchen!
Men, if you can come early, Chef Alex says that the men will begin preparing this feast at 2:00 p.m. There are veggies to be washed and chopped, meats to be cooked, sauces to be created, and a dining room to be prepared.
Dinner will be served promptly at 6:00 p.m. This is not just for couples, this is a churchwide event. If you can’t help cook, come and help us eat. There will be games afterward so, you might want to brush up on your trivia beforehand.

Please make plans to join us for our annual Lessons and Carols service on Friday, December 24, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. The story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus is told in Bible readings from Genesis, the prophetic books and the Gospels, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols, hymns and choir music. This service is a very special way to celebrate “the reason for the season.”
Communion will also be served at this service.
Please join us after church on Sunday, December 5, as we celebrate the season. What a special time this always is as we Celebrate Christ’s birth through fellowship, Christmas carols, and of course, food.
The church will be providing all the food, so bring along yourself, your Christmas spirit, and even a few friends to join us.
In order to make sure we plan just enough food, a reservation is required no later than Sunday, November 28. Either put the reservation slip from the bulletin in the offering plate on Sunday, or contact the Taylors to let them know how many will be attending.
